Taxi overturns near Empangeni

An accident occurred on the R102 at Canefields near Empangeni earlier this morning (Tuesday), when a taxi overturned after reportedly colliding with a truck.

KwaZulu Private Ambulance attended the scene and determined that 11 people had sustained minor injuries, while four had sustained serious injuries.

The seriously injured patients were rushed to Ngwelezana Hospital, while those who had sustained minor injuries were taken to Nseleni Clinic.

All other emergency services, including SAPS, attended the accident scene.
