WITH the Armed Forces Day parade set to take place in Richards Bay tomorrow (Tuesday), some of the town’s roads will be affected and blocked for the smooth running of the spectacle.
Motorists and residents are urged to use alternative routes as the following roads will be affected:
· Bullion Boulevard will be blocked from Guldengracht to Mark Strasse as well as blocked near South 32.
· Saligna and Guldengracht roads will be blocked from the R619 until Bullion Boulevard
· East Central Arterial will also be blocked from Mark Strasse to Guldengracht, while the John Ross Highway intersection will also be closed for traffic turning into the East Central Arterial.
· Krugerrand Grove will be barricaded between Premium Promenade and Bullion Boulevard.

Motorists and pedestrians are also notified that while it is uncertain whether Bullion Boulevard/Via Verbena will be completely blocked off, SANDF members will be using the road to make their way from the parade back to the Central Sports Complex.
Motorists should also expect delays between 8.45am to 9.45am on the John Ross highway coming into Empangeni all the way to the war memorial monument at the Civic Centre. The road will not be closed to traffic but motorists can expect blue light brigades escorting the President and other VIPs.
