WATCH: Water-shedding looms as Ngwelezana residents face supply crisis

Residents go 5 days, and counting, without water

STARTING the new year dry, residents of Ngwelezana and surrounding areas have been without water since 1 January.

Posting on its social media accounts, the City of uMhlathuze said the affected communities should anticipate water shedding in the coming weeks, owing to reports of river water flooding the pump station and causing damage.

Deputy city manager for infrastructure S Ngcobo, along with City manager NG Zulu, the local ward councillor and the Induna Mkhwanazi met yesterday (Wednesday) to discuss temporary relief methods going forward.
