WATCH: Crocodile captured at Richards Bay beach

2.5m crocodile removed from beach and released in safe location

EZEMVELO KZN Wildlife officers, honorary officers and willing members of the public had their work cut out for them this morning (Saturday) as they captured and relocated a crocodile from the Newark Beach area in Richards Bay.

The roughly 2.5m croc was first seen last night at Alkantstrand before it settled in the brush against the dolosse at the short pier.

The capture and removal operation began shortly before 8am today, and the animal has been released in a safe location.
