GRIZZLY dashcam footage has been posted online, showing a violent explosion at an accident scene on the R34 about 19km outside Ulundi, heading towards Vryheid.
The footage shows a convoy of vehicles, including trucks and light motor vehicles, negotiating their way past an earlier accident where one tipper truck is lying on its side.

A sudden explosion erupts as a result of a further collision into the crash scene.
Further details concerning casualties are still awaited, but what is apparent from the footage is that there are certain to be fatalities, and there will be a long road closure on this route which, since Friday, has been the alternate route for truckers travelling to Richards Bay, following the horrific accident between a truck and bakkie on the N2 near Pongola.
