Sanca ‘Walk away from Drugs’ draws near

The annual walk away from drugs is a fundraiser for Sanca Zululand

The 16th annual Sanca/Eyethu Bay Watch ‘Walk Away from Drugs’ is just around the corner, so be sure to mark it in your diary.

Scheduled for 10 September, the event is to be hosted by the Zululand Yacht Club (ZYC) and promises to be fun for all.

The approximate 5km route will see walkers leave the ZYC and proceed down the dirt road towards the Bay Hall and return on the same route.

“Schools, companies, clubs and families can mark their diaries,” said Sanca director Shireen Sahadev.

“We will be knocking on the doors of companies and businesses to support us with prizes, water tables and handouts that will make the day more special for the children who attend.”

The theme this year is: ‘Stay safe! Say no to drugs’. As usual, the colourful spring walk – it is not a race! – will give the opportunity for creative banners and slogans, as well as dress-up themes.

The Sanca office can be contacted on 035 7723290 for more information.
