Empangeni book launch unpacks inspiration and tools to soar

All proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to LifeLine Zululand

Former Zululander Kelly Markey will be in Empangeni this Friday as part of her international book tour, sharing her best-seller ‘Don’t Just Fly, Soar‘.

The event is hosted by LifeLine Zululand and sponsored by Umfolozi Resorts.

The book launch and signing takes place at 6pm at Umfolozi Resorts, following the Durban leg of her tour two weeks ago.

All proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to LifeLine Zululand in support of the NPO’s operations.

Markey, who grew up in Tugela, worked in the healthcare sector before moving to New Zealand in 1996 to further her studies in health. She later moved to Australia.

In her book, Markey shares her testimony of dealing with abandonment, rejection, domestic violence and discrimination, to name a few.

And the book is described as a life changing motivation to live better.

“It is a witness that you can achieve professional success, change the narrative dished out to you , harness meaningful relationships, ignite your self worth and find peace in the storms of life,” she said.

Markey draws on her life experiences and offers these as guidance and daily help, which can be beneficial to anyone in understanding how to define their purpose and vision for life, thrive, and design a future that inspires.

Tickets are on sale at R125 per person. For bookings, contact Michelle Jewlal on 082 5544244 or 067 1113077.
