JUST one can of food or vegetables can go a long way to helping Choc Childhood Cancer Foundation SA continue to help feed its patients who have been diagnosed with childhood cancer or a life threatening blood disorder, as well as their families.
Their initiative, “Give what you Can” invites members of the public to honour the late former president Nelson Mandela on his birthday by helping their communities through donations of non-perishable food.

For Choc, every day is Mandela Day and they urge people supporting Madiba’s vision to participate in sustainable interventions with lasting impact.
Children need complete, balanced nutrition for adequate growth, neurodevelopment and a strong immune system.
Nutrition is a key component during cancer treatment as the child needs to cope with the treatment as well as the nutrition-related side-effects to prevent malnutrition and infection.
Choc CEO Hedley Lewis calls on citizens to continue helping them feed their young patients today, tomorrow, and the entire month by contributing to their Mandela Day food drive collection.
Choc has a complete wish list of perishable and non-persishable food items, household items and toiletries.
