WATCH: Two injured in Richards Bay microlight crash

The accident occurred just after 8am on Saturday

TWO people sustained serious injuries when the microlight in which they were flying crash landed in Nhlabane, north of Richards Bay.

The accident occurred just after 8am today (Saturday).

It is reported that the microlight’s engine cut out mid-flight and the pilot was unable to restart it.

The craft came down in the trees and bush.

One patient was rushed to Netcare The Bay Hospital privately.

MedCare 24 arrived on scene and treated the second patient who was airlifted to hospital.
