Bakkie flips at N2 uMhlali diversion

Paramedics treated the injured on scene before transporting them to hospital

ELEVEN people were injured when the bakkie in which they were travelling rolled on the N2 at uMhlali in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).

IPSS Medical Rescue arrived on scene to find multiple casualties with injuries ranging in severity, from minor to severe.

According to IPSS, the 11 occupants were thrown off the back of the bakkie during the accident.

The injured were stabilised and treated on scene by paramedics from both IPSS and Netcare 911 before being transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

KwaDukuza Fire & Rescue also attended the scene, as did the police.
