Richards Bay youngster auctions painting for SPCA

It's an online silent auction and bids must be made in the comments section of the 'Yorkie Love' post on the SPCA's Facebook page

Richards Bay SPCA put out a call for food donations and the community wasted no time in rallying for the cause.
Donations of cat and dog food came rolling in over the course of the last week, and one youngster is auctioning a painting to raise funds.

Mia Viljoen (7) wants to find a forever home for her painting entitled ‘Yorkie Love‘ inspired by her pet yorkie Sprinkles.

The rules are easy, and are as follows:

1. To make a bid, simply enter your bid amount in the comment section under the Yorkie Love photo on the SPCA Richards Bay Facebook page.
Starting amount is R100, and each subsequent bid must follow the minimum increment of R10.

2. Once the auction is declared closed (Friday, 8 July), the highest bidder in the comment section will be the new owner of Yorkie Love.

3. The winning bidder will be contacted via Facebook Messenger to arrange payment and delivery of the painting. Courier costs will be covered by the Viljoens.

4. Payment must be made in full before delivery (cash/EFT). Mia Viljoen would love to go shopping for the animal food herself and proof of purchase will be shared thereafter.

5. If unclaimed within three days, Yorkie Love will be offered to the next highest bidder.

6. By bidding, each bidder agrees to these rules.
