WATCH: KwaMbonambi businesses warn protesters

Motorists travelling elsewhere were also affected as there was no way around the crossing

Kwambonambi Business Forum (KBF) sent a strong message to local community members who this morning (Monday) blocked the road to Richards Bay Minerals, calling them ‘criminals’.

This came after KwaMbonambi residents blocked the road at Mzingazi Crossing and delayed employees reporting for duty.

KBF members whose businesses are contracted to RBM said they had fought for some time to work with RBM, but now the protests were negatively affecting their livelihood.

Motorists travelling elsewhere were also affected as there was no way around the crossing, which was blocked with buses.

The scene was soon cleared and Saps continued to monitor the situation for the remainder of the morning.
