Entertainment galore at Horings & Dorings

It’s time again for the Horings & Dorings Hluhluwe Festival

The Horings & Dorings Hluhluwe Festival is a three-day feast of family fun, taking place from 27 to 29 May at Zulu Croc in Hluhluwe. Event organiser Odette Koch invites Zululanders to support this weekend of family fun.

Entertainment for the weekend will include live music, stalls, rodeo mechanical bull and other games, a snake and crocodile shows, as well as a fun kids zone.  Here the kids can enjoy some fun on the jumping castles, face painting, arts &crafts and other entertaining activities.

Well-known artists such as Steve Hofmeyr, Juanita du Plessis, Pieter Koen and Jennifer Zamudio will take to the Horings & Dorings stage, alongside local talent, including Steven, Priscilla.

Being ‘pineapple country’, visitors can look forward to fresh pineapples on sale throughout the weekend at the pineapple tent. Big prizes will be up for grabs in the rodeo mechanical bull competition at Saturday afternoon. Those feeling even more adventurous can do tandem skydiving throughout the weekend at R3000 a shot. Something for the adventurous

Bring your dirt bikes, quad bikes and side-by-sides for the Farm Jam on Saturday, 28 May. Registration forms are available on www.horingsendorings.co.za or www.dirt-zone.co.za. For more information, contact Leon Badenhorst at 082 945 7356 or Niene Terblance at 071 334 2093.

On Sunday, 29 May Hluhluwe Private School will host a Trap, Draf, Stap, which includes a MTB track. There are three distances: 9.5km (R80 per runner or walker), 24.5km (R120) and 50km (R150). The fun run and walk will start at 7.30am, with registration at 6.30am. Entries are R30 per person. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.horingsendorings.co.za.
