Zululander launches book of beautiful poetry
The book is a collection of IsiZulu poems

The intimacy of words was on display on Freedom Day when local poet Sindi Gumede launched her first book titled Ingathi lento (It’s about us).
The book is a collection of IsiZulu poems which she started writing as a young girl while accompanying her mother to sell vegetables at a market in Richards Bay.

‘It has been a difficult and long journey, but I thank God for this opportunity to present my work to the people, and give them a piece of me,’ she said.

Among those who attended the launch at eSikhaleni Community New Hall were SATMA award-winning poet Mbali ‘Magcwabe Imbongi’ Mabaso and Ischomane Sembongi, as well as Nhlaka Nkwanyana, and gospel artists Cebile and Andile Dlamini.
