Double dose of enlightening workshops in Richards Bay

Having recently opened a branch in Richards Bay, the SDCEA is an environmental justice organisation made up of 19 affiliate organisations and has been active since its formation in 1995.

The South Durban Community Environmental Alliance (SDCEA) invites residents living in and around Richards Bay, to attend two informative workshops to be hosted this month.

With a firm belief that everybody has a right to an environment that is not harmful to their health or well-being, the organisation will host two events on Thursday and Friday at the Blue Marlin Guest House in Meerensee.

The Oil and Gas/Just Transition workshop, set to be held today (Thursday) will focus on what a just transition means and how we can move away from oil and gas towards renewable energy sources.

Friday is the Oil and Gas Workshop which will focus on how this industry affects the oceans and fishermen of Richards Bay and beyond, as well as the policies, risks and solutions that go with it.

Both events promise to equip residents with valuable information.
