Consumers educated about their rights

The awareness campaign is in line with the commemoration of Human Rights

In an effort to educate consumers about their rights, the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), as well as Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) KZN recently conducted an activation at Gingindlovu taxi rank.

The awareness campaign, which was held ahead of Human Rights Day, aimed to further educate businesses about consumer rights and their responsibilities as service providers.

Government officials also used the opportunity to create awareness on Census 2022, a total count of the country’s population.
