This after the pageant has been postponed twice owing to Covid-19 safety concerns.

Instead of 71 contestants from around the world, only the 40 finalists will get a chance to walk the Miss World stage.

South Africans’ hopes are high as Musida is one of the fast-tracked contestants after winning the Beauty with Purpose category for her initiative which raises awareness about mental health issues.

Musida uses her social media platforms to host Mindful Mondays, where she invited doctors, activists and psychologists to educate the public about mental health.

The 70th Miss World pageant will be held this Thursday, 17 March.
