WATCH: Municipality swiftly covers sinkhole

THE uMhlathuze municipality reacted swiftly to repairing a huge sinkhole in Durnford road in Empangeni on Christmas day, following the recent heavy rains.

A crew managed to block off the bottom end of the road, just past Durnford Heights, before temporarily closing the hole with sand.

Owing to the festive season, this issue will be fixed in the new year.

Residents are urged to avoid this section of road.
