WATCH: R102 head-on collision injures 7

SEVEN people were this morning (Tuesday) rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries ranging from serious to minor, in a head-on accident between a taxi and a light motor vehicle.

The collision occurred on the R102 at Iniwe near Felixton, near the university turn-off in KwaDlangezwa.

The rush-hour accident caused a major backlog of traffic as authorities worked to clear the scene, temporarily closing the road while doing so.

Emergency services on scene confirmed one person was in a critical condition, five were seriously injured and one other had sustained moderate injuries.

All patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.
