Internet down at City of uMhlathuze

THE uMhlathuze Municipality says it has been unable to send or receive external emails since Tuesday, as a result of internet downtime.

This has also affected public Wifi spots across the city.

While it is not yet clear as to what has caused the interruption, the municipality said it is working to resolve the issue.

‘We would like to assure our community, stakeholders, business sector, government departments and its entities, and everyone concerned that our teams are working around the clock to restore the internet services.

‘Plans will be devised for all those business functions and processes that are interrupted,’ said Municipal Manager Lulamile Mapholoba.
