Age categories for the Junior Maestro Chef Contest are 9 to 13 or 14 to 18 years. So, if you fall in this age group and love to spend time cooking, this is your chance to enter and battle it out for the title.

Entries close on Wednesday, 15 September, and forms can be obtained from the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre website or Facebook page, as well as inside this week’s ZO Monday edition, on page 6.

To enter, simply complete the entry form and attach a picture of your favourite meal – one you have prepared yourself.

The judges can’t taste your entry, so presentation is important!

Contestants will be judged on a set criterion over three rounds, and the top three will be chosen by the panel of judges.

Winners will receive a trophy for Junior Maestro Chef 2021, with prizes given to first, second and third placed contestants.

All ingredients, utensils and crockery will be provided.
