NOW that the country is back to Level 3 lockdown restrictions and events are once again allowed – albeit limited in numbers – many NPOs and charities are taking the opportunity to hold fundraisers.

Church golf day
THE Empangeni Dutch Reformed Church will host a fundraiser golf day at the Empangeni Country Club on Saturday, 4 September. The format will be a 4-ball better ball format with many prizes up for grabs. The proceeds will be used for the church’s charity projects. Entry fee is R150 per player and bookings can be made at the Pro Shop on 035 7723894. Take a walk to raise funds for CANSA
GET ready for Cansa Richards Bay’s Tekkie Tax walk this Saturday. Sport your tutu and tekkies, and help raise funds for the Richards Bay Johan Schoonhoven ‘Schoonies’ Care Home when you join the fun walk from their premises at 27 Bauhinia Bend, Arboretum to Richards Bay CBD at 6.30am. Register for the Sanca Walk away from Drugs
While the official date of this year’s Walk away from Drugs is Saturday, 4 September, participants will have two weeks (28 August to 11 September) to complete the walk – with pets welcome. Register on the Sanca website www.sancazululand.online – just follow the bright yellow online registration prompts. As a fundraising event for the NPO, the entry fee is R50 for adults and R20 for children under the age of 12.
Sanca AGM
The date for the Sanca Zululand AGM has been set. It will be held at 3.30pm on Wednesday, 22 September on the Zoom platform owing to Covid-19 restrictions. RSVP by 20 September on 035 7723290/01 or sancaz@zwn.co.za
