Nienaber makes 11 changes to Bok starting XV for second test against Argentina on Saturday

Boks bring out A-listers for second match-up against Argentina

SPRINGBOK head coach Jacques Nienaber has made eleven changes to his starting XV to tackle Argentina in the second Rugby Championship Test at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday (5pm).

Only Siya Kolisi, Jasper Wiese, Lood de Jager and Cobus Reinach retained their starting positions from last weekend’s opening encounter, which the Boks won 32-12.

A number of second choice players put their hands up for selection for the remainder of the series.

Saturday will see a number of milestones: Cheslin Kolbe needs one more try to reach his 10th dot down for 50 points in Test matches; Lood de Jager will play in his 50th Test match for South Africa; Marvin Orie will make his run-on debut, as will uncapped Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg.

The Springboks will head into the contest as favourites, having won 27 and drawn one of the 31 meetings between the two countries.

Fans will hope for another bonus point victory before the Boks jet off to Australia for the remaining fixtures of the 2021 Rugby Championship.

The Aussie Tests are on 12 and 18 September at 7am SA time, with the All Blacks encounters on 25 September (9am) and 2 October (8am).

16 Bongi Mbonambi, 17 Steven Kitshoff, 18 Frans Malherbe, 19 Nicolaas van Rensburg, 20 Kwagga Smith, 21 Dan du Preez, 22 Jaden Hendrikse and 23 Damian Willemse.
