Pastors look above for divine intervention

Pastors preached the word of God and prayed for healing as families and businesses struggle from the aftermath of unrest

Pastors from the Empangeni and Richards Bay fraternals congregated outside Pick n Pay at Sanlam Centre on Monday morning to pray for healing over Empangeni following the recent riots and looting.

The message was clear; that people need to trust that God will help with the rebuilding of businesses, as well as other issues occurring across the country.

Various pastors preached the word of God and prayed for healing as families and businesses struggle from the aftermath of what transpired.

Thankfully, owing to a recent clean-up campaign run by local churches and volunteers in conjunction with the municipality, certain businesses opened their doors on Monday morning, while others are cleaning and fixing up their shops as they expect to open in the weeks to come.

Meanwhile, religious leaders of eSikhaleni also converged for a prayer at the eSikhaleni Mall which was destroyed by looters last week.
