Supporters told the ZO they were not there to tell Zuma what to do but to merely stand in solidarity with the former president.

Meanwhile, the Military Veterans Association – Mkhonto We Sizwe has already announced that their comrade Carl Niehaus will address the media outside the main entrance to Zuma’s Nkandla residence later this afternoon at 4pm.

Niehaus is expected to issue a statement on behalf on the MKMVA National Executive Committee (NEC) on the prison sentence imposed on the former president and related developments.

There is already a strong military presence stationed at the entrance to Zuma’s homestead.

Zuma was found guilty and sentenced to 15 months imprisonment for refusing to testify before the State Capture Commission.

There is calm, but an apprehensive atmosphere persists as the nation waits to see if he will comply with the Constitutional Court ruling delivered on Tuesday.
