THREE cases of murder are being investigated after friends who went missing two weeks ago were recently found dead.

The bodies of Nkandla residents Zinhle Nqobile Mkhize (33), Njabulo Lindani Khoza (21) and Nonhlanhla Kubheka (30) were found inside the Babanango forest on Saturday morning after a missing persons report was filed on 19 June.

KZN spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele said an intensive search was launched for the trio who were last seen when they were travelling together in Nonhlanhla Kubheka’s car in the Nkandla area.

‘The vehicle was found abandoned the following day at her cottage in Nkandla with the keys still in the ignition and the drivers window broken.

The victims, however, were no where to be found,’ said Mbele.
