THE Compensation Fund (CF) is calling on pensioners to apply for the Covid-19 vaccine through government’s Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) – https://vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za/ –.
This comes after the fund, in collaboration with partners, mutual assurance companies Rand Mutual Assurance Company Limited (RMA) and The Federated Employers Mutual Assurance Company (RF) (Pty) Ltd (FEM), availed R1.35-billion to support government’s efforts to vaccinate around three million workers without medical aid.

The collaboration between public and private sectors will benefit workers and pensioners under phases 2 and 3 of the vaccination programme.
The majority of recipients are vulnerable, low- to semi-skilled workers. They have minimal resources to mitigate against the loss of income resulting from hospitalisation or temporary incapacity due to Covid-19 infection.
RMA chief executive, Mandla Shezi said, through this collaboration, his company was supporting efforts to shoulder the financial burden to make sure no one is left behind.
‘Public-private partnerships have a crucial role to play in achieving tangible, social impact, and this serves as a testament to the importance of collaboration,’ he said.
Those over 60 years are encouraged to register on the Electronic Vaccine Data System – https://vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za/. To register, a South African ID or passport is required.
