Aquadene residents urged to join community clean-up campaign

COMMUNITY members are encouraged to support dedicated volunteers who remain committed to cleaning up and beautifying the City of uMhlathuze through their Adopt-a-Spot campaign.

The team will be in Aquadene from 8am tomorrow (Thursday), cleaning up the community’s parks and public open spaces.

The initiative is led by youth group Siyamathunda Community Services, a non-profit organisation that assists with clean-ups throughout the city on a voluntary basis.

Since the beginning of the year, the team has been cleaning illegal dumping sites and storm water drains, picking up rubble and cutting overgrown verges in various suburbs.

They held a clean-up in Brackenham earlier this month.

To join tomorrow’s clean-up, phone 064 8414696.
