Keep the babies warm this winter

Donate warm attire to keep children warm this winter

WARMTH is comfort and Linzwa Foundation recently launched their Keep the Babies Warm campaign, with hopes to assist Zululand’s vulnerable children this winter.

Spearheaded by the Linzwa Foundation, the community initiative aims to collect and donate winter kits such as coats, hats, scarfs, gloves, baby grows and blankets to children in need.

‘I started the campaign last year as part of my birthday celebrations.

The aim is to reduce the unnecessary death of orphans and vulnerable children due to extreme and harsh winter conditions,’ said foundation director, Lindiwe Dube.

Zululanders are also urged to collect winter items for newborn babies and toddlers.

Richards Bay teenager Tamica Biggar kick-started the campaign on Thursday by donating 42 baby grows and piles of clothing to their mothers who are also in need.
