A TAXI owner and a passenger were shot and killed this (Wednesday) morning when a group of armed men opened fire on a Quantum taxi in eNseleni.
Details of the shooting are still sketchy, but according to King Cetshwayo Cluster Police spokesperson Capt Mbongeni Mdlalose, the group blocked the taxi and opened fire at Mkhoma Reserve, next to Wanda Store at about 6am.

The two victims were declared dead at the scene, and a case of murder has been opened.
While not yet confirmed, the motive behind the shooting is believed to be linked to conflict within the taxi industry.
