Mushroom Sauce recipe

Here’s a delicious recipe for a Mushroom Sauce to serve with your Rump Steak:

1. Melt 40g butter into a frying pan over medium heat. Add one finely chopped onion and sauté for 4 minutes. Add 2 garlic gloves (crushed) and sauté another minute.
2. Add a 400g of thinly sliced mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally or until tender. Add 2 teaspoons of thyme leafs and 15ml white vinegar and cook a further 3 minutes. Add 300ml cream and cook until the cream has reduced by half. Stir occasionally.
3. Season and serve sprinkled with extra thyme.
