Hilltop Camp reopens at Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park

All chalets and public areas have been sanitised

HLUHLUWE-IMFOLOZI Park’s Hilltop resort reopened on Thursday after having been closed for a week owing to the resort manager and some staff testing positive for Covid-19.

‘All employees have completed their isolation period and were immediately allowed to take time off for a further seven days,’ said Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife spokesperson, Musa Mntambo.

‘The guests, who were allowed to self-isolate inside the resort, vacated their chalets a few days ago. All chalets and public areas have been sanitised.’

Ezemvelo’s Acting CEO, Ntsikelelo Dlulane, expressed gratitude to all guests who were impacted by the closure.

‘They understood the challenge we were facing and most of them were willing to either re-book for a future date or transfer their bookings to other resorts,’ said Dlulane, who added that a small number of guests cancelled bookings.
