DoH tests Brackenham residents as Covid-19 cases rise
'We urge members of the public to continue adhering to Covid-19 regulations to stop the spread' - Ward Councillor, Leslie Joseph
THE spike in Brackenham’s Covid-19 cases has prompted the Department of Health to initiate door-to-door campaigns this weekend.
Positive cases have been reported along several streets, including Button Fern, Boulder Bend, Blavalia, Cinnamon Crescent, Drynaria Dune and Via Davallia.

To curb this spread, which started about two weeks ago, Ngwelezana Hospital tracer teams were deployed to conduct risk assessments as well as screening and testing at random houses and local churches.
Ward councillor, Leslie Joseph, is urging residents to treat the second wave seriously.
‘The Department of Health informed us about the testing on Saturday and Sunday because of a rising number of cases.
‘It has been noted that celebratory events are still ongoing, and people are not keeping their masks on correctly in public places. We urge members of the public to continue adhering to Covid-19 regulations to stop the spread.’
