Four suspects nabbed with dagga in Empangeni

They are expected to appear in court on Friday

EMPANGENI police arrested four suspects for possession of dagga at a roadblock along the N2 near Cane Fields earlier today (Thursday).

The suspects were travelling from Ingwavuma to KwaDukuza and were caught with 10 packets of dagga with a street value of R50 000.

The 38-year-old driver allegedly told police he was hired by the other three suspects to drive them to Ingwavuma to collect the dagga.

Empangeni Station Commander, Brigadier Jeros Thango, said all four suspects were charged with dealing in dagga and they are expected to appear at the Empangeni Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
