The programme will begin on Monday, 2 November.

One of the beneficiaries, Buyiswa Sibiya (24), was excited to be part of the initiative and said it will assist her to grow her agricultural business.

‘I don’t have fixed employment. In 2016 I started vegetable gardening with the intention of supplying supermarkets, but water shortages prevented me from succeeding.

‘I now only grow vegetables for my family and sell some produce to my neighbours,’ she said.

‘The programme will help us a lot. I’m keen to learn more about finance and strategies of business development.’
