National Wills Week kicks off next week

'Without a valid will, unhappiness and conflict among members of one's family' are likely to develop'

WITH National Wills Week kicking off on Monday, 26 October, Legal Aid South Africa encourages community members to visit its local office in Empangeni to draft their will at no cost.

The office will open for walk-in clients between 26 and 30 October, providing assistance not only with drafting the document, but also to provide other legal information on Constitutional rights and responsibilities.

‘Without a valid will, there can be unhappiness and conflict among one’s family members because there are no clear instructions on how to distribute one’s assets.

‘Rightful heirs may not receive what is rightfully due to them,’ said Legal Aid SA KZN spokesperson, Bongani Mahlangu.

Those seeking legal assistance can visit the Legal Aid office at 7 Maxwell Street, Mazule House in Empangeni.
