Don’t miss these upcoming events in Zululand

Here are some upcoming events to look forward to

LOCKDOWN Level 1 is in full swing and social events are on the increase while organisers ensure all Covid-19 protocols adhered to.

Grab your pen and diary to make note of the following events, whether virtual or ‘real-life’ that are scheduled to be taking place across the region.

SATURDAY, 9am – midday: Sea Scouts market day in Richards Bay

THE 1st Richards Bay Sea Scouts is hosting their monthly market on Saturday at the Steel Bridge in Meerensee from 9am.

There will be lots of items on sale – from food, plants, fishing gear, clothing, toys and much more.

All regular stall holders are welcome to join and new ones can contact Liz Wood on 083 4413666.

THURSDAY, 1 October: Annual box of blessings drive

Walk in Faith and community-driven initiative – the annual box of blessings – gives children of all ages a special Christmas to remember.

This year’s goal is to bless 320 children and put smiles on their faces this Christmas time.

For more information, send your email address to Merinda Ackerman on 081 538 2331.

SUNDAY, 4 OCTOBER, 8am: Beach clean-up in Richards Bay

RICHARDS Bay Christian Fellowship (RCF) is hosting the second of their monthly beach clean-ups, to be held on Sunday, 4 October.

After last month’s successful clean-up in which 50 rubbish bags were filled with litter including used nappies, a knife, take-away food containers, plastic bags and bottles, as well as glass bottles, the hope is that the next one will attract more helpers to join in.

Those who want to attend the clean-up are called to report for duty at 8am on the day, at Pelican Island.

There will be a bring and braai afterwards.

All Covid-19 protocols will be strictly adhered to.
