Non-violent protest action outside Foskor in Richards Bay

While there are many people gathered alongside the John Ross, traffic is free-flowing

HUNDREDS are gathered outside the gates of Foskor in Richards Bay and, while cars are parked along the centre island and on the verges, traffic on the John Ross is free-flowing.

While initial reports this (Thursday) morning said the protest action was violent and the area should be avoided, this appears not to be the case.

Unconfirmed reports suggest the protesters are community members looking for work, but this will be clarified as more information is received.

Police are on scene should protesters become unruly.
