Long Sunday power outage scheduled for Empangeni
The work forms part of Eskom's periodic maintenance
PARTS of Empangeni will be without electricity between 6am and 6pm on Sunday owing to crucial Eskom maintenance work.
The work forms part of Eskom’s periodic maintenance and will affect areas that are supplied directly by Eskom.

Areas affected will be Empangeni town, Panorama, Hillview and Qalakabusha Prison.
The 12-hour duration of the outage has been given by Eskom to the City of uMhlathuze, but should work finish earlier, electricity will be restored sooner.
Should work be delayed, restoration of the electricity supply may also be delayed.
The City of uMhlathuze said it would be working closely with Eskom to update members of the public who are affected.
