Planned power outage in eSikhaleni and surrounding areas

eSikhaleni, Port Durnford, KwaDube, Felixton and KwaDlangezwa will have no power from 6am to 8pm tomorrow (Thursday)

THERE will be planned power outages in parts of the City of uMhlathuze tomorrow (Thursday) from 6am to 8pm.

Eskom will be conducting mandatory maintenance, and affected areas will include eSikhaleni, Port Durnford, KwaDube, Felixton, KwaDlangezwa and surrounding areas.

‘The municipality would like to emphasise that the estimated times are hours required by Eskom to work on the planned outages.

‘Should work finish earlier, power will be restored earlier. Should delays occur, these times may change.

‘The municipality will be working closely with Eskom to monitor all the work and provide updates in case of any major changes on the project,’ said the municipality in a statement.

Another planned outage is scheduled for Sunday, 13 September from 6am to 6pm, when Eskom will switch off Empangeni areas, which are set to include Empangeni town, Panorama, Hillview and Qalakabusha Prison.
