IFP visits grieving family

IFP handed over groceries, clothing, blankets and financial assistance to the Gazu family recently

AN IFP delegation led by its National Chairperson, Blessed Gwala, lived up to the uButho-Botho principle by extending a helping hand to a grieving family in Samugu area, outside eShowe last Friday.

The party handed over groceries, clothing, blankets and financial assistance to the Gazu family, whose daughter, Snenhlanhla Zulu (27), was allegedly killed by her boyfriend earlier this month.

Gwala explained that the deceased’s body was found with multiple wounds in a field near bushes where it is suspected that the suspect was aiming to dump her to hide the evidence.

‘The suspect had absconded from police cells in Mandeni police station.

‘The deceased is survived by her 17 family members including her wheelchair-bound grandmother, Fikile Gazu (75),’ Gwala said.

King Cetshwayo IFP District Secretary, Tobias Gumede, said, ‘The killing of women is getting out of hands in this country.

As the IFP, we are against any form of abuse, especially women abuse.

‘We urged our government to strengthen laws, which will deal with those who kill and abuse their loved ones. We find it very strange that killers who end lives of innocent people are being protected in this country,’ he said.
