WATCH: Surprise wildlife encounter in Richards Bay

The animal was caught and safely released in a suitable nearby location

PROVING once again that Richards Bay’s green belts are home to a diverse population of wildlife, one Meerensee resident had a somewhat strange encounter yesterday (Friday) morning.

Possibly chased and seeking refuge, a large spotted genet was found perched on a bathroom curtain rail by the homeowner at about 6.30am.
