The project to give the family a decent shelter is spearheaded by the Umvuzomuhle Foundation, led by founder Mkhuseli Buthelezi.

The foundation identified the family’s poor living conditions during its food donation drive in June. The group is currently on the ground and raising funds to ensure the project sees the light of day.

‘We call on individuals, organisations and business people to extend a hand and contribute towards the project,’ said Buthelezi.

‘We can’t allow people to live in such conditions and I know if we come together, we can have one less family in need.’
