The 100-year-old has, over the years, donated a number of knitted infant jerseys, beanies, scarves, mittens and crochet blankets to DICE for the local community

GRANNY Phyllis is a DICE (Do I Care Enough?) stalwart who has donated her time and knitting skills over the years to help those in need.

The 100-year-old, who loves watching rugby and tennis on television and giving anyone a go in Scrabble, has over the years donated a number of knitted infant jerseys, beanies, scarves, mittens and crochet blankets to DICE for the local community.

‘That’s our Phyllis,’ said founder of DICE, Reg Anthony, when speaking about the remarkable woman who has played an active role in DICE over the years.

‘DICE would like to thank Granny Phyllis for her ongoing commitment to the local non-profit organisation and for her ongoing labour of love which makes a huge difference in the lives and hearts of children whose faces light up when they receive her creations.’
