Rugby legends give back to communities

The donations were distributed among the Sekane, Nkukhwini, Vungame and Manyoni communities on the north-western boundary of Manyoni Game Reserve

COMMUNITIES around the Manyoni Game Reserve in Zululand were terribly excited when the South African Rugby Legends Association (SARLA) recently paid a visit to deliver donated clothing, food and other necessities.

And to top it off, big names from the rugby world showed up to lend a hand, among them SARLA CEO Stefan Terblanche, Wayne Fyvie, Justin Swart, Etienne Fynn, Jeremy Thomson, Brent Russell and Henry Coxwell.

The donations were distributed among the Sekane, Nkukhwini, Vungame and Manyoni communities on the north-western boundary of Manyoni Game Reserve, in support of the Zululand Conservation Trust (ZCT).

This donation was made possible through the generous support of major South African brands, and the packs included 150 bags of pyjamas (six items per bag), 150 bags of clothing (six items per bag) from Custom Apparel, and 300 boxes of cereal from Futurelife.

In addition to this, the participating former players also donated some of their own clothing.

Terblanche thanked Futurelife and Custom Apparel for their support, as well as Emond Auto for driving the former players to the various communities.
