The project was supported by Gift Marovatsanga, Mbali Mkwakwa, Sandile Mcambi and Thami Ntombela.

‘I would like to thank everyone who contributed. This is not our last stop as we also plan to visit Queen Nandi Hospital and donate warm clothing to newborn babies.

Zandile Mthimkhulu of the Stand-up Foundation said she was concerned about the increasing number of gender-based violence cases.

‘We support this initiative as many children living in the place of safety centre are victims of violence.

‘Our main aim is to ensure all children living there don’t feel neglected,’ she said.
