ALL people, including refugees, can contribute to society and help to make the world a better place.
This was adequately demonstrated on Saturday, World Refugee Day.

Members of the Richards Bay-based African Solidarity Campaign (AfriSoC), an NPO founded by refugees to promote integration with local communities and to encourage peaceful conflict resolution, used the day to practice what they preach.
AfriSoC founder, Steven Mmindje Kabakilwa, himself a refugee, belatedly celebrated his birthday by providing food parcels to senior citizens at Iniwe and KwaDlangezwa.
Digging into his own pocket and with support from the Empangeni Muslim Community and Pick n Pay, a number of gogos were recipients of this kindness.
‘It was a touching, emotional and beautiful day and we were blessed to see their joyful appreciation,’ said Steven.
AfriSoc appreciates any assistance in cash or kind to support their goals.
