Former Kaizer Chiefs striker and one of the founders of the Kaizer Motaung Junior Foundation, Kaizer Motaung junior, donated food parcels to the royal household for distribution to needy families.

The foundation partnered with the king and queen of the Zulu nation to bring Covid-19 relief packages to more than 600 families in KwaNongoma.

‘Most of the nationwide relief efforts seem to have covered the urban and peri-urban areas, but many people in remote areas have been left out.

‘My foundation, together with my partners Afribiz Foundation and Green Urban Boxes are here to ensure that we bring support and nourishment to the people in remote areas,’ said Motaung.

He added that they will also be donating other essential items, such as blankets.

‘Being in KZN has really shown me how much work we really still need to do in this country. I am extremely grateful that the king was receptive to our help, enabling us to do what we set out to do as the foundation,’ he said.
