DESPITE the national lockdown, South Africans celebrated Freedom Day on Monday in various unique ways.

Zululand fitness junkies Desiree Verwey, Nikki Cox, Lynne van den Heuvel and Bronwyn MacDonald celebrated by completing a Freedom Day virtual relay swim.

Each swam as far as they could for 15 minutes.
