TO ensure the safety of its drivers, commuters and general public during the Covid-19 pandemic, the South Africa National Taxi Council (Santaco) rolled out its plan to curb the spread of the coronavirus during a small gathering at the Empangeni taxi rank on Wednesday morning.
Hygiene packs were handed over to the four associations operating in the King Cetshwayo, Ilembe, uMkhanyakude and Mthonjaneni regions.
The packs included masks, sanitisers, educational pamphlets as well as protective gear for those responsible for sanitising ranks and taxis.
